Interesting post on Beyond The Beyond about this Avatar Machine. We usually think about augmented reality as useful or at least entertaining. In this case the user sees himself as a virtual character, moving around in real space. What if the aesthetics of a third person game leads to “a diminished sense of social responsibility”? But could it also lead to an increased sense of responsibility or to more creative and fun behavior? What effect would it have on you?
